Storytelling is a powerful tool that shapes the success of businesses, helping connect with their audience and communicate effectively. From building a brand identity to launching products, having a compelling narrative is crucial. Explore how storytelling has played a central role in Pulse 2.0 with insights from Amit Chowdhry.
Talk a bit about yourself and your background
As the co-founder and Editor in Chief of Pulse 2.0, I have been passionate about writing for a couple of decades. I also worked as a contributor for Forbes for six years. Before that, I worked for Infosys as a software engineer in India, Target in Minneapolis, and Applied Materials in Texas. Back in 2006, I graduated in Supply Chain Management at Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business.
How have you worked with Jmac PR?
I have collaborated with Jmac PR on profile articles for clients like Mobvista and Matik.
What inspired you to start Pulse 2.0?
Growing up, I have always been a fan of magazines like Wired, Business 2.0, Money, Forbes, Fortune, etc. I enjoyed watching people read these magazines at various airports. While I do not have the resources to launch a magazine of my own, I decided that the next best thing would be to use the Internet as a tool for sharing interesting business stories.
What was a challenge you encountered in founding Pulse 2.0, and how did you overcome it?
Monetizing a news site is one of the biggest challenges in staying afloat and thriving. At one point, I had a dozen ads running up and down the site, but I felt like it was ruining the reader experience, and ad blocking tools had a major impact financially. Fortunately, we have been receiving donations from many of our readers and partners to keep going even without ads just like Wikipedia.
What advice do you have for executives and/or leaders when it comes to communicating effectively?
My advice is to write your thoughts down in the Notes app or a word processor on your phone. That way, you do not forget anything that needs to be communicated with your team. It also makes you look sharper during meetings and speeches.
In a crowded industry, the right story can make all the difference in how your brand is perceived and remembered. For personalized media strategies and to amplify your story, contact Jmac PR and get your message to a wider audience.
