With Thanksgiving right around the corner, it’s important for us to show gratitude for the many sources of inspiration our lives. So in the spirit of the holiday, we asked the Jmac team what source of inspiration they were most thankful for this year. We hope the responses inspire you, too!
A Note From John McCartney, Agency Principal
Hi everyone. As we approach Thanksgiving, which happens to be my favorite holiday, I wanted to use this moment to share some thanks and gratitude to those in my life both personally and professionally. First, I want to thank my family for their love and support, without which I don’t know where I’d be today. Second, I’d like to thank my dearest friends who are like family to me. You know who you are. Third, I’d like to thank my team. You are all rock stars and I can’t thank you enough for your contributions, and also for allowing me the opportunity to be your teacher, coach, mentor, and colleague.

My family has been a huge source of inspiration for me this year. I’m always so thankful for them. They really have given me so many little moments that I cherish and laugh on. Now that I’m on my own and out of my hometown, going back to travel and see familiar faces is what fuels my creative work and personal motivations to grow as a person and professionally.
Elena Lopez, Account Executive
I’m thankful for finally getting to travel and meeting new people/seeing new places.
Farah K. Reid, Special Projects
This might sound like a cliché, but I am truly grateful for the unconditional love and support from my family and close friends. They have been constantly with me through some really tough patches this year. I am in awe at how many times each of them has said or done something to keep me going without even knowing they have made a really tough day into a joyful one. Grateful and blessed is how I feel constantly with them in my life.

This year I’ve been very grateful for music. It’s a constant source of inspiration, but probably this year more so than ever. Listening to music has been a way to make work more pleasurable and more productive, and to recharge before and after. I’ve also done a lot of writing about music, which has helped me build closer listening habits and pay better attention in general. I’m very grateful for that!
