A Note From John
Spring has been a busy and meaningful season here at JMAC PR.
One area we’ve been exploring more is the evolving role of PR in the AI and LLM era. Recently, I presented to members of Foxwell Founders, a private community of digital marketers, agency leaders, and ecommerce professionals, on the importance of PR in the LLM / AI search era. The discussion focused on how earned media, thought leadership, and third-party credibility increasingly influence not only traditional awareness but also how brands are discovered across AI-powered search and answer engines. We’ll share related posts and the presentation deck with anyone interested.
April also brought the annual PRSA Counselors Academy Spring Conference in Carlsbad. I’ve been involved with Counselors Academy on and off for nearly 10 years, and this year was especially notable given my role as Ex Officio on the Executive Committee. The conference remains one of my favorite professional gatherings, bringing together agency leaders from across the country to share ideas, challenges, and opportunities facing our profession.
On a more personal note, May included my annual birthday trip to New Orleans for Jazz Fest, now a three-year tradition. There’s something about the music, culture, food, and energy of New Orleans that continues to recharge and inspire me.
May also marked AAPI Heritage Month, and we were proud to support the annual PRSA-LA and AAJA-LA AAPI Heritage Mixer, which brought together journalists and PR professionals for an evening of conversation, community, and connection. Events like these remind me that relationships remain at the center of what we do.
